"CT Greenhouse was an outstanding company to work with! They walked me through each step as it was my first time purchasing a high tunnel. I purchased a 30X48 high tunnel with a double inflated layer. This will be the third season with the tunnel and still looks brand new. The directions were very easy to follow and if there were any questions they were just a phone call away. I highly recommend CT Greenhouse and would purchase from them again!"

The Grower Plus Series is our mid-tier NRCS high tunnel kit, built for growers who want more than the basics without going all-in on the Pro. It's the same commercial-grade galvanized steel frame as every CT Greenhouse structure, but with key upgrades that make a real difference in day-to-day growing: double hinged doors on each end, automatic peak vents that regulate heat without you touching them, and wind exclusion panels with integrated bug netting under the roll-up sides. Every Plus kit meets USDA NRCS Conservation Practice Standard 325 (CPS 325), and CT Greenhouse structures have been approved in every state where they've been reviewed.

Available in widths from 14 to 30 feet, lengths from 48 to 148 feet, and your choice of standard (5') or tall (6') sidewalls. Select your options above to get an idea on pricing, or contact us for a custom quote.

Why the Plus?

Automatic peak vents that manage heat for you

On a sunny day, the temperature inside a closed high tunnel can spike fast enough to stress your plants before you get out there to vent it. The Plus model's end wall peak vents use a wax-cylinder auto opener that reacts to temperature. When it gets warm, the vent opens. When it cools down, it closes. No electricity, no manual adjustment. It's passive climate management that works even when you're not in the field.

Double hinged doors for real working access

The base Grower model comes with a single door on each end. The Plus gives you a full 4' x 7' double hinged door on both ends, which means you can drive a wheelbarrow, cart, or small tractor attachment straight through without angling or squeezing. It also provides significantly more cross-ventilation when both sets of doors are open on warm days.

Wind exclusion panels + bug netting where it matters most

Roll-up sides are great for ventilation, but when they're open, they're also an open invitation for wind, insects, and cold air. The Plus model adds wind exclusion panels and integrated bug netting under the roll-up sides, so you get airflow when you need it without the problems that come with wide-open sidewalls. This is a Plus-exclusive feature that most growers find worth having from day one rather than trying to retrofit later.

Commercial-grade galvanized steel, American-made

Every CT Greenhouse structure uses domestically sourced, hot-dipped galvanized steel. The Plus model's 1.9" 13-gauge main bows are the same tubing used in our larger commercial greenhouse frames. It's built to handle snow loads, wind, and years of use. All components are manufactured in the USA and shipped directly to your site.

What you'll need at your build site: The Plus kit includes every structural component listed above. You'll source baseboard lumber locally (pressure-treated 2x6 or 2x8 typically works best). Our team can advise on the right lumber specs for your configuration during your quote call.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in the CT Greenhouse Plus High Tunnel kit?
The Grower Plus kit includes: 1.9" 13-gauge galvanized steel main bows, aluminum double wirelock hip board, 1.315" 16-gauge tubing for trusses and purlins, 5:1 gear crank roll-up side operators, aluminum fabric clips for roll-up sides, wind exclusion panels and bug netting under roll-up sides, 1.75" 14-gauge square end wall framing, end wall peak vents with automatic opener, 4' x 7' double hinged doors on each end, a double layer of 6-mil 4-year greenhouse plastic, grade 5 bolts, and stainless steel self-tapping tek screws. Baseboard lumber is not included and is typically sourced locally.
What is NRCS Conservation Practice Standard 325 (CPS 325)?
NRCS CPS 325, also called the High Tunnel System practice, is the USDA conservation standard that governs the design, installation, and use of high tunnel structures funded through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP). To qualify, structures must be prefabricated kit systems, at least 6 feet tall at the center, and crops must be grown directly in the ground or in raised beds no more than 12 inches high. Practice 325 covers high tunnels specifically. It's a separate standard from NRCS Practice 340, which covers cover crops.
What are the requirements for an NRCS-funded high tunnel?
Under CPS 325, the key requirements include: the structure must be a prefabricated manufacturer's kit (DIY builds are not eligible), it must be at least 6 feet tall at the center peak, no wider than 30 feet, crops must be grown directly in the ground or in raised beds no more than 12 inches tall, the tunnel cannot be used for livestock or equipment storage, and you'll need an active EQIP contract and conservation plan. Requirements can vary by state, so it's always a good idea to check with your local NRCS office or give us a call.
Is the CT Greenhouse Plus High Tunnel approved for NRCS grants?
Yes. CT Greenhouse is an NRCS-approved vendor and the Grower Plus Series High Tunnel meets USDA NRCS Conservation Practice Standard 325 (CPS 325). Our structures have been approved in every state where they've been reviewed. If you already have an approved EQIP grant, call us at 860-341-8707 and we'll help you configure your tunnel to meet your agent's specs and maximize your reimbursement.
What is the difference between NRCS Practice 325 and Practice 340?
They're two completely separate USDA conservation practice standards. Practice 325 (High Tunnel System) funds the purchase and installation of high tunnel structures for season extension. Practice 340 (Cover Crop) funds the establishment of cover crops for soil health. If you're applying for funding to build a high tunnel, you're applying under CPS 325, not Practice 340. CT Greenhouse's high tunnel kits are designed and approved to meet CPS 325 requirements.
