Welcome to your new greenhouse.
Your greenhouse will arrive fully assembled and ready to use: a welded-steel, polycarbonate backyard greenhouse with built-in benches and a roof vent that opens automatically on warm days.
The Home Owner's Greenhouse: ready to grow
Built right, down to the baseboard.
Everything that comes standard on the Home Owner's Greenhouse.
Welded steel frame
A rigid, welded structure designed for harsh weather.
8mm twin-wall polycarbonate
Twin-wall glazing diffuses light, and the trapped air layer between the walls insulates.
Built-in benches, both sides
2′-deep benches run the full length of either side, ready for trays and pots on day one.
Automatic opening roof
A battery-powered, thermostatically controlled roof that opens on its own when it gets warm.
Sliding front door
A smooth sliding door on the front wall.
Operable rear window
An opening window with a screen on the back wall for cross-ventilation.
Pressure-treated baseboard
A pressure-treated baseboard sits between the frame and the ground for a clean, durable footing.
Four ground stakes included
Square ground stakes are provided to anchor the corners (see setup below).
Anchor it, set the dial, and grow.
Anchoring your greenhouse
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the greenhouse is sufficiently anchored to the ground before use. Four square ground stakes are provided to anchor the corners of the greenhouse, but further anchoring may be required depending on the site conditions and local building regulations.
Concrete footings or screw-type anchors are recommended. Please contact a licensed contractor or your local building department for more information.
Roof opening instructions
Your greenhouse comes with an automatic opening roof operated by a 12-volt battery and thermostat. The roof opener comes wired to a battery terminal that will accept either a DeWalt 20V or a Milwaukee M18 tool battery (not included).
- Insert a charged battery (a DeWalt or Milwaukee pack) into the terminal.
- Set the thermostat dial to the temperature at which you'd like the roof to open.
- Recharge monthly: charge the battery at least once a month for continuous operation.
