Description
Aluminum foil seal tape is the solid tape that seals the top edge of twin-wall polycarbonate panels. It caps the open flutes vapor-tight, keeping water, dust, and insects out of the channels so the panel stays clear and insulating.
Each roll is 1" wide by 150' long, made by Gallina USA, and fits 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate. Apply it to the upper edge, then fit an edge profile or U-channel over the tape to hold it and protect it. It's the top-edge half of a two-tape system: pair it with breathable vent tape on the bottom edge so trapped moisture can drain. Also sold as top sealing aluminum tape or solid polycarbonate seal tape.
Aluminum foil seal tape is the solid tape that seals the top edge of twin-wall polycarbonate panels. It caps the open flutes at the top of the sheet vapor-tight, keeping water, dust, and insects out of the channels so the panel stays clear and insulating. It's the companion to bottom-edge vent tape: the top edge seals tight, the bottom edge vents and drains.
Each roll is 1" wide by 150' long, made by Gallina USA. Apply it to the upper edge of the sheet, then fit your edge profile or U-channel over the tape. Foil tape isn't meant to be left exposed to the weather; the profile holds it in place and protects it. Pair it with polycarbonate vent tape on the bottom edge to seal the panel correctly, top and bottom.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is aluminum foil seal tape used for?
A: It seals the top edge of twin-wall polycarbonate panels vapor-tight, capping the open flutes so water, dust, and insects can't get into the channels. That keeps the panel clear and protects its insulating air space.
Q: Does foil tape go on the top or bottom of the panel?
A: The top edge, where you want a solid, sealed cap. The bottom edge uses breathable vent tape instead, so any moisture inside the flutes can drain and escape.
Q: How long is a roll of aluminum foil seal tape?
A: Each roll is 1 inch wide and 150 feet long. Apply it to the top edge, then fit an edge profile or U-channel over it; the tape isn't meant to be left exposed to the weather.
